Evening New River Scene is an impasto oil of one section of the New River which is actually one of the oldest rivers in the world. I spend a lot of time walking by this river and love to look at the rapids.
My husband, Clyde Kessler, is a well-known naturalist in The New River Valley and he spends a lot of his time studying bird and butterfly populations of this river. I have enjoyed all the outings he has taken me to in this beautiful region of Virginia. The paint was applied in many layers resulting in a winding visible texture which adds expression and energy to the scene. The colors are the serene colors of this particular evening.
Evening River Scene
Evening River Scene is an impasto oil painting on hardboard in a silver colored metal frame.
The painting can easily be taken out of the frame if professional framing is desired.
