Model Life is an unusual figure drawing.  The girl looks like she is a unique still life, hence the title Model Life.  I especially like the light effect and the textural marks the charcoal made on the newsprint. Whenever I work from a model I always try to achieve a strong visual effect that goes beyond the image of the figure.

In this one the strong light effect gives the girl a dramatic look that draws the viewer into an intimate scene.  I like to work from both males and females but I prefer to work from the female form.
