Troy is a delightful pastel painting of one of my son's friends. I painted a lot of genre scenes with his friends and this one is one of my favorites.  Troy was so excited to be at Alan's party.  They all had a great time.  I am especially pleased with the strong value patterns and expressive lines in this work.  The outside light illuminated the scene with beautiful warm/cool color contrast.
