Never know where you are going to get an idea

The patron for my latest commission sent me a number of files to work from that showed her beautiful back yard overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. I mailed the painting to her last week.

In one of them her two dogs are on the deck looking at the mountains.

It is such a beautiful photograph with a nice mood to it so I asked her if I could use it for a painting.

She said yes and I am happily working on it!
