My age is really showing

A week ago my husband called the lake to see if they still had lifeguards. They are supposed to have them until after Labor Day. The worker said that they would have them until after Labor Day.

I went there today and there weren't any lifeguards. I mentioned our phone call to the worker at the Snack Bar and instead of giving a reason why there weren't any lifeguards, he just said they weren't any today.

If I had said that when I was young I would have gotten a reprimand for not explaining why I was not given accurate information on the phone.

My age is really showing.
