Paintings always talk to me

I am just about done with three Blue Ridge paintings that I am very pleased with. As always, they talk to me as I work. My initial intention was to be very loose with these and have them in between my usual mountain paintings and some that are based on ranges I have seen. Along the way they became intense, atmospheric Blue Ridge paintings which is what I prefer. They are very small and now I want to get back to some large paintings. Always on my toes with a brush in my hand!
