What is that Blinking Red Light?

We have a fake fireplace in our new home. It looks like there are logs that are simmering and it can be turned on.

We haven't used it yet but I notice a blinking red light through the vent area last night. Don't know what that means so we are getting help today.

Hope it is not a problem. I don't want a problem. Who does?
