Last night I was watching a fantastic opera on PBS. It was Agrippina and, of course, I thought of my Mom who passed away four years ago.
She was a great pianist but she did not like opera. She said it was a controlled yell.
Still don't agree at all. Those singer's voices were fantastic! They sounded like they were riding a beautiful wave of sound.
My mother liked to quote Shakespeare and often said, "To each his own".
Opera is definitely one of the art forms I love that is not everyone's cup of tea.
