Found a Great One

Before I decided to help out our church and play the piano when our excellent organist left I wasn't a fan of hymns.

I was surprised to find out that there are many that I like very much and every once in a while I find one that is great. Of course, many of them are lyrics set to famous music, including Beethoven's 9th.

This one is by Gustav Holst,1874-1934, best know for his work The Planets. Always such a nice experience to play music I like at church.

Now to get to painting. I love to play the piano but I live to paint.
