That's Different

For some strange reason the small oil painting canvas panels I recently bought have too much of whatever it is they put over the gesso.

Even if I thin the paint all the way down to a thin wash it buckles up on the surface. I will have to add gesso to the surface. Never thought I would have to do that.

I hope this was a mistake and the next ones are better.
